Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Counsel patients and their families on what to do following treatment.
- Observe patients before, during, and after therapy and report notes to the Physical Therapist.
- Assign specific exercises for patients and help them perform these exercises.
- Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
- Use various techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients.
- Assist patients when moving to and from the therapy area.
- Education: Associate's Degree from Physical Therapist Assistant Program
- Certification / Licensure: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant licensure & BLS certification required.
- Skills: Demonstrates accountability and skills in continued assessment, decision making, and time management. Should have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and organizational skills.
