Columbus Technical College, a leading institution in the field of technical education, is seeking a highly skilled EMT Instructor to join its team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in EMS courses, utilizing various teaching modalities to cater to diverse student needs. Additionally, they will be tasked with developing program and course outlines, adhering to state standards, and evaluating student progress towards goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach EMS courses and implement engaging instruction methods to ensure student success.
  • Develop and maintain program accreditation requirements, as necessary.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage supplies and equipment, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and colleagues to promote academic excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols in training areas.
  • Respond promptly to administrative requests and participate in college-wide initiatives.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Current licensure in Georgia as a Paramedic or RN, RRT, NP, PA, or MD/DO.
  • Active licensure in Georgia as an Instructor/Coordinator (Paramedic).
  • An Associate Degree or higher from an accredited academic institution in any major.
  • Current NREMT certification.
  • Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
  • Completion of all Teaching Internships for EMS Instructor/Coordinator requirements.
  • Completion of an approved EMS Instructional Preparation Curriculum Prep Course within the past three years.
Preferred Qualifications

Postsecondary teaching experience is highly desirable.
