Insurance Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a skilled and experienced trial attorney to join our Westchester (Harrison) NY Claim Litigation office. As an insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, the selected candidate will handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures. They should have outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload.

This hybrid role requires the selected candidate to spend some time in the office and virtually. The position is based in Jericho, NY, with a satellite office in Westchester (Harrison), NY. Our team enjoys an active and busy civil trial practice and provides a congenial, team-oriented, and professional work environment with skilled support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
• Developing and implementing litigation strategies
• Conducting research and analysis to inform case decisions
• Collaborating with support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation

Requirements:

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
• Active license to practice law in New York and membership in good standing with the state bar
• 1-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation/trial
• Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $125,625.00-$160,000.00 per year, with potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary. The starting salary will be based on background and experience.
