Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Specialist in Newborn Care. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care for newborns, as well as supervising non-RN personnel and participating in charge roles.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment: Conduct ongoing assessments of newborn patients to identify physical and psychosocial needs.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educational Opportunities: Plan and provide educational opportunities for patients and families, tailoring content to meet individual learning needs.
- Leadership Roles: Function as a preceptor to new staff members and participate in charge roles, delegating and supervising unit activities as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong foundation in nursing practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license and BSN degree are required. Recent level 2 or 3 experience is preferred.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this position is approximately $83,500 - $121,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
