As a Medical Records Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with established policies and procedures. Your duties will include preparing admission packets, establishing medical files, and monitoring records for completeness and accuracy. You will also be responsible for processing, transferring, and discharging records, as well as preparing reports as directed. To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least one year of previous clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting. You will also need to be capable of maintaining regular attendance and working in a fast-paced environment.
