Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at Princeton University's Initiative for Data-Driven Social Science (DDSS). The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative methods and tools for quantitative social science research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and further develop technical skills in a dynamic research environment
  • Make substantive technical and methodological contributions to DDSS-supported projects or its mission
  • Offer 2-3 advanced technical or methodological workshops each semester
  • Assist in organizing research-based events and present work at research methods and field-specific seminars
  • Offer consultation to faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers on topics related to the candidate's area of expertise

Requirements

  • PhD in the social sciences, statistics, computer science, or related fields
  • State-of-the-art technical or methodological skills
  • Advanced knowledge of R or Python
  • Intermediate knowledge in C/C++ and/or at least one SQL dialect

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work closely with our engineers and other research staff
  • Two days per week dedicated to independent research
  • Appointment through the Department of Politics
