Job Summary

The Clinical Coordinator Nurse Residency Program is a pivotal role within CHI Saint Joseph Health System, responsible for leading and coordinating the Nurse Residency Program. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the program's effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director to establish and uphold program standards, curriculum, and policies to support resident development and nurse retention.
  • Develop and implement program structures and processes, evaluating and revising them as necessary.
  • Establish measurable program outcomes and hold individuals accountable for achieving them.
  • Work closely with site leaders to maintain performance expectations and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and support site faculty and subject matter experts to enhance program delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational values and mission, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Utilize technology and data to support program operations and make informed decisions.
  • Administer ongoing assessments for residents and preceptors to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Assist in budget planning and adherence, ensuring the program's financial sustainability.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with nursing academic organizations to enhance program offerings and reputation.
  • Ensure consistency in the nurse residency brand, promoting a unified image and message.
  • Transfer knowledge and best practices to site leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Advocate for the nurse resident and program, promoting their needs and interests.
  • Build internal partnerships and foster a collaborative learning environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity, ensuring the program is accessible and welcoming to all.
  • Design future program functions to support resident transition and retention, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Align program with education and development initiatives, ensuring a seamless integration of learning and growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate nursing certification program initiatives, supporting the professional development of nurses.
  • Create a positive work environment that encourages professional growth, promotes high-quality nursing practice, and fosters interprofessional collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical teaching experience.
Required Licensure and Certifications
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training
  • Coursework, degree, or certification in adult learning or nursing education.
