Job Title: Financial Analyst

Novelis is a world leader in aluminum recycling and rolling, and we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations and finance by preparing and analyzing financial reports on a monthly and annual frequency.

Responsibilities:
  • Adopt and promote Novelis' cultural beliefs of Say Anything, Build Trust, Be Authentic, and Be Open.
  • Perform month-end activities such as completing and uploading journal entries and forecasts in SAP, exporting data from multiple sources to review and analyze actual results against plan and forecast, perform CO close process in SAP, and account reconciliations through OneStream.
  • Analyze and report on inventory variances and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Provide training, help to resolve issues, answer questions, and perform analysis that will support operations in their assigned manufacturing unit.
  • Facilitate manufacturing unit management in annual planning and monthly forecasting cycles.
  • Perform regular deep dive analyses into production related cost variances to help management identify losses and target areas of improvement.
  • Maintain and implement financial controls and governance, crafting and recommending potential solutions for additional or revisions of controls as needed.
  • Build analytical models applying both financial and non-financial data to forecast and analyze operating results. Be able to clearly articulate results back to management in order to drive better business decisions.
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Intermediate proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel is a must.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical skills in business performance metrics are required, extensive financial modeling experience.
  • Ability to think independently, synthesize data, and make proactive, concise recommendations based on findings. Thrives on ability to work autonomously.
  • Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships with plant leadership and regional office personnel.
  • Willingness to tackle additional projects and multi-task with changing priorities, as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail.
