Aircraft Avionics Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join our Maintenance Department at Piedmont Airlines.
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems and components.
The Avionics Technician reports to the Avionics Supervisor and is responsible for:
- Completing routine and non-routine maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing aircraft communication, navigational, and electrical equipment
- Completing functional testing and inspections of the avionics on our fleet
Requirements for this position include:
- An associates degree specializing in electronics and avionics systems or a minimum of two years of experience working with aircraft electronics and avionics systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in mechanical operations
- A valid Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- A Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate
This position requires the ability to work in a standard office environment, as well as an airport ramp and warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
The successful candidate will be available to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
