Job Summary:

Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Social Media Marketing Intern to join our Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies, excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, grow, and enhance our Discovery Park brands' social media presence through content, giveaways, in-person events, and other methods.
• Assist the Marketing Team with the creation of organic and paid social media strategies.
• Create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts.
• Post content on social media accounts, monitor engagements, and respond to customer inquiries or comments.
• Attend events to gather event photos and videos to use for social media campaigns.
• Assist in analyzing campaign results and reporting on performance metrics for social media campaigns to monitor progress and achievement of goals/milestones.
• Collect digital marketing data and organize it in Excel.
• Track, monitor, and analyze marketing conversion data to determine areas for campaign improvement as well as campaign success.
• Assist with email marketing efforts to various audiences.
• Foster a positive online presence through reputation management and customer service.
• Work with the Marketing Team on ad-hoc projects as needed.
• Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media and digital advertising.

Requirements:

• Current student majoring/minoring in Marketing or a related field.
• Previous experience managing/creating social media content for a business is required.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours/week and on some weekends.
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to use good judgment, think critically, and act proactively.

For over 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue.
