Sales Specialist Role Overview

As a Sales Specialist at Mutual of Omaha, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales team by compiling key information for client proposals. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with new and existing Workplace Solution customers, providing clarity, support, and guidance that our company is known for.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. You will be responsible for managing quote activities, developing relationships with broker partners, and contributing to achieving ambitious sales goals.

The successful candidate will have the ability to learn and grow with our company, understanding the nuances of the proposal process, the insurance industry, and building lasting client relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Support: Proactively manage quote activities, develop relationships with broker partners, and contribute to achieving ambitious sales goals.
  • Proposal Excellence: Take charge of the proposal process, receiving and managing RFPs, preparing compelling proposals, and ensuring timely responses.
  • Underwriting Expertise: Dive into life and long-term disability cases, from underwriting to quoting premium rates.
  • Smooth Implementation: Coordinate the installation process, partnering with various stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions.
Requirements
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in Excel, Word, and various software systems, with typing, spelling, and grammar skills as second nature.
  • Learn and Grow: Be ready to embark on a journey of learning and growth, understanding the insurance industry and building client relations.
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, fostering positive interactions and building lasting client relations.
What We Offer

We value diverse experience, skills, and passion for innovation. The estimated hourly wage for this role is $28.75 - $33.25, plus annual bonus opportunities. Benefits include a 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match, up to 15 days of vacation per year, and 11 paid holidays in 2024.
