Position Overview:

GRAMMER is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and will have the opportunity to implement meaningful and positive changes within our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The Supply Chain Logistics Engineer will oversee the coordination of inbound and outbound freight, both international and domestic. This role includes tracking shipments and managing claims across various shipping methods (ocean, air, postal, truck, and parcel) while performing related tasks as necessary.

A logistics operations engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the flow of goods through diverse transportation channels, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Primary Duties:
  • Formulate short and long-term strategies to align with customer needs.
  • Planning and Coordination: Organize the transportation of goods from origin to destination, taking into account transit times, costs, and legal requirements.
  • Documentation: Manage shipping documents and customs paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Transportation Management System: Support the implementation and rollout of the system.
  • Carrier Management: Actively seek and implement new carriers and routes to reduce costs while enhancing quality and delivery.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or other logistical challenges.
  • Claims Management.
  • Monitoring: Track shipments in transit, provide status updates, and resolve any arising issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in international business, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of the carrier industry, both domestic and international.
  • Experience in the automotive sector is essential.
  • Ability to support multiple facilities as needed.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
