Job Description

Environ Energy is seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team. As a key member of our proposal development team, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality proposals that effectively communicate our value propositions to potential clients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess excellent writing, research, and project management skills, with a deep understanding of energy services, sustainability consulting, and regulatory frameworks. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop customized proposals that align with client needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including researching, writing, editing, and formatting proposals for energy efficiency services, sustainability consulting, and more.
  • Tailor each proposal to specific client needs, ensuring alignment with RFP requirements, industry standards, and Environ Energy's service offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather the necessary information for each proposal and ensure accurate representation of Environ Energy's capabilities.
  • Ensure all proposals meet regulatory, client, and industry standards, including compliance with local, state, and federal sustainability legislation.
  • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, keeping track of deadlines, ensuring timely submissions, and coordinating input from various stakeholders.
  • Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, and consistency to produce polished, client-ready documents.
  • Conduct research on prospective clients, market trends, and competitors to develop compelling narratives that highlight Environ Energy's competitive advantages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience writing proposals, preferably within the energy, sustainability, or consulting industries.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance services is strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, strong research and analytical abilities, ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, compelling narratives, experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with Request For Proposal (RFP) and Request For Quote (RFQ) processes and proposal management software is a plus.

The good faith salary hiring range for this position is $80,000-100,000 annual salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates may differ based on education and experience.
