Empowering Girls through Leadership and Community Engagement

At Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Girl Experience Specialist. This dynamic position involves working directly with girls from kindergarten through 5th grade, fostering their growth, and development.

The ideal candidate will have a flair for designing engaging curriculum and activities that spark imagination and curiosity. As a key member of our team, you will support the development and delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, focusing on membership retention and creating a safe, girl-led environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality program events and curricula that meet council goals.
  • Establish relationships with community partners, including nonprofit organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders, to support the council's objectives.
  • Deliver a program experience that provides opportunities for girls to develop strong senses of self, positive values, challenge-seeking skills, healthy relationships, and community problem-solving abilities.
  • Lead groups of participants, ranging from 10 to 100 girls, and manage program activities effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Represent the organization at community events, as needed, and engage with external partners.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, data collection, and paperwork processes for program participation.
  • Analyze program evaluations to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
