We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality care to patients from birth to 21 years old, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, assessments, and treatments.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Conduct thorough health histories and perform physical exams.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust plans of care accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio.
  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP-BC) by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
  • At least 2 years of experience as a PNP or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
