Westlake Dermatology is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at our Lakeway location. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our providers with patient care, including obtaining history, chief complaint, and consents. You will also assist with cosmetic procedures, prepare exam rooms, and escort patients to the room. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing the schedule to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately and supplies needed for procedures are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers with patient care, including obtaining history, chief complaint, and consents
  • Assist with cosmetic procedures, including Botox and fillers
  • Prepare exam rooms and escort patients to the room
  • Review and manage the schedule to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately and supplies needed for procedures are available
  • EHR charting, stocking of rooms, and turnover of rooms

Requirements:

  • High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required
  • Medical assistant certification is preferred
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in a dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic setting working as a medical assistant or clinical assistant preferred

  • Knowledge of medical and skin care terminology
  • Proficient with general computer skills
  • Able to stand for long periods of time

Compensation:

$21 per hour (plus benefits and 401K options for full-time employees)
