Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist

Vaco Boston has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in the North Boston area to fill a Senior Procurement Specialist position. This hybrid role requires a strong relationship builder and negotiator to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and supplies.
  • Negotiate costs and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing and terms.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless production planning and delivery.
  • Manage purchase contracts, confidentiality agreements, and purchase/price files to maintain compliance and efficiency.
  • Approve pricing for order requisitions to suppliers and ensure accurate cost calculations.
  • Support production planning to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and supplies.
  • Assist with customer quality assessments and audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Maintain SAP system, RFQ issue, and quote review requirements to ensure efficient procurement processes.
  • Analyze cost calculation and cost drivers to develop and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and process quotations to achieve optimal pricing and terms.
  • Establish logical new model cost targets and achieve cost targets through effective supplier selection and negotiation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Oracle, Microsoft D365, or another MRP application.
