Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Equipment Specialist to join our team at Stowers Machinery Corporation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer of equipment, Caterpillar.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy machinery, as well as strong leadership skills to direct and assist technicians in the shop.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring quality repairs and accurate completion of all paperwork, including time cards, parts orders, and service reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and assist technicians in the repair of machines.
  • Assist shop manager in daily duties, including direction of technicians and ensuring quality repairs.
  • Inspect machines for needed repairs and ensure quality repairs and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the shop in the manager's absence.
  • Communicate directions accurately and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.

This role requires a strong understanding of test equipment and procedures, as well as the ability to diagnose problems, make repair decisions, and set up jobs without supervision.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license.
  • Five or more years of experience in machine repair and maintenance.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening test.
