Bellevue, Washington, United States Amazon Full time
About the Role

Amazon Air's demand and operations planning team is seeking a highly motivated team member to drive asset utilization and forecast accuracy goals.

We are looking for an experienced, innovative, and strategic Senior Supply Chain Manager who will be comfortable diving into complex problems and collaborating with data scientists and the broader AIR network to improve forecast accuracy.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly analytical, and intensely detailed with a strong customer focus in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong partnerships with data scientists and operational leaders to build roadmaps to program improvement.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream partners to further integrate the Amazon supply chain demand forecast.
  • Develop an S&OP reporting and communications framework.
  • Manage demand planning cadence for high volume events.
  • Advise senior leadership on long-term decisions and structural changes to how Amazon Air forecasts demand.
About the Team

The AIR Demand and Operations Planning (ADOP) team assumes three primary roles for Amazon Air and the broader AFN network.

First, ADOP manages the package flow plan for the current AIR network: adjusting connectivity to improve asset utilization, speed, cost, and DEA, resolving feasibility issues from upstream or downstream partners, and managing weekly building and flight capacity.

Second, the team has an S&OP role for the AIR network, providing the BB network with demand forecasts on a weekly basis.

Finally, the team leads event planning throughout the network including high volume and exception events.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field.
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • 3+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
