Job Description

The Procurement Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the procurement team at A-C Electric Company. This dynamic individual will be responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to a seamless supply chain process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Purchase Order Management: Oversee the daily processing of purchase orders in our ERP system, ensuring accurate data entry and timely completion within 1-2 business days of material reservation.
  2. Purchase Order Revisions: Conduct daily reviews and updates for PO revision requests, managing changes to line items, quantities, prices, and material descriptions.
  3. New Vendor Onboarding: Support the setup of new vendors by working with accounts payable, verifying vendor information for accuracy and completeness.
  4. Report Generation: Generate and distribute periodic reports related to requisitions, purchase orders, proof of delivery, and invoicing activities.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Meet department OKRs and champion process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Additional Job Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to the Procurement Coordinator as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a data entry, procurement, or administrative role, preferably in a procurement or supply chain setting.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Maintaining confidentiality with sensitive financial or vendor information.

Compensation and Benefits
