Family Law Specialist with Emphasis on Client-Centered Advocacy

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Law Attorney to join our dynamic team at The Murphy Law Firm in Washington D.C.

With a strong focus on client-centered advocacy, this role involves representing clients in District of Columbia court proceedings and overseeing cases from initiation to resolution. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Family Law litigation, including extensive courtroom and trial experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop customized strategies for intricate family law matters, such as division of marital assets, child custody disputes, and support issues
  • Represent clients in District of Columbia court proceedings, overseeing cases from initiation to resolution
  • Manage and organize detailed case files meticulously to maintain precision and confidentiality
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to legal support staff, including legal assistants and junior attorneys
  • Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships, advocating on their behalf with empathy and expertise
Requirements:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school with an active license to practice in DC
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking, and proficient in time management and multitasking
