Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Leader to join our team at South Middlesex Opportunity Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences for school-age children in our child care program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in children
  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support the readiness of children through activities and by establishing relationships with families and the community
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
  • EEC Group Leader qualification
  • Experience working with school-age children
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and communicate effectively with children, families, and co-workers
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • CPR and first aid certification
