Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior technicians in a team environment.
  • Train and direct technical associates on proper equipment set-ups and repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing technicians to direct completion of required projects.
  • Organize and direct improvement projects to increase equipment utilization.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as specified in the preventative maintenance program or as needed for smooth operation.
  • Audit PM procedures and activities of technical associates.
  • Track and audit PMs to ensure they are completed and closed out in the SAP system.
  • Analyze equipment failures for frequency of failure to modify/update PM work order.
  • Set up and debug equipment to documented specifications.
  • Maintain equipment in working order to produce product within specified quality and quantity limits.
  • Maintain equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.
  • Repair equipment and report major problems to supervisor.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with maintenance department, engineering, or other technical resources as needed for major repairs/production issues.
  • Turn on machines and ensure proper functioning of machines and control panels.
  • Makes certain safety guards are in position and working properly.
  • Enter equipment downtime as directed by supervision.
  • Monitor production machinery as needed to ensure top performance.
