We are seeking an enthusiastic Speech Language Development Specialist to join our team and contribute to the improvement of communication skills in students. This position will involve working closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide essential therapy services, conduct assessments, develop personalized interventions, lead group sessions, and document progress.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with students, parents, and educators to ensure seamless support throughout the learning process. About the Role:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team to provide exceptional speech therapy services
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive assessments to identify areas of improvement
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Facilitate engaging group sessions to promote socialization and skill development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development principles
