Financial Analyst II

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst II to join its Accounting team.

$55,000 - $75,000 per year

The Financial Analyst II plays a crucial role in assisting with the preparation of financial statements for hospital, clinic, and departmental operations. Key responsibilities include payroll processing, analyzing financial data, trends, and indicators.

• Maintain accounting records in the General Ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial information.
• Analyze and reconcile bi-weekly and monthly statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Participate in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends as assigned.
• Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Process purchase orders through accounts payable, maintaining efficient and organized financial systems.
• Record all foundation activities, providing a clear picture of financial performance.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Experience with financial accounting and cost accounting, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
• Excellent customer service skills, with strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

The Financial Analyst II will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime as required for effective department operations.
