Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Westminster Canterbury Richmond. In this rewarding role, you will provide exceptional care to geriatric residents and contribute to a positive work environment.
Job Description:The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality resident care using various nursing competencies, including assessments, care planning, and implementation of interventions. You will also support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in ensuring that resident care standards are met and maintained while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
This full-time position requires working 7:00 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., including every other weekend. To be successful in this role, you must have strong clinical skills, the ability to care for geriatric residents, and knowledge of assessment, implementation, evaluation, and re-evaluation of resident care needs.
You will provide direction and assign daily duties to nursing staff, act as a resource for staff concerning resident care and needs, and keep management informed of resident status. Additionally, you will implement physician orders, administer medications and treatments, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:- Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia
- CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification
$83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
