Independent Living Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Independent Living Assistant to join our team at Barrier Free Living. This is a part-time position with an estimated salary of $16,500 per year.
Job SummaryThe Resident Aide provides critical support in maintaining a secure and safe work environment for staff, residents, and visitors. Key responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit points, answering telephone calls, and completing administrative tasks as requested by supervisors.
Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide coverage at the Reception Desk, monitor entry and exit points, answer telephone calls, and complete administrative duties as required.
- Safety Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with fire and other safety regulations related to the facility.
- Courteous Interactions: Maintain professional and respectful interactions with all residents, staff, and guests.
- Incident Response: Address and follow up on security or safety incidents within the facility, providing emergency response and crisis management assistance as needed.
- Log Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate completion of log and incident documentation required by supervisors.
- Light Housekeeping: Complete light housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and snow removal, as directed by Shift Supervisors.
- Experience: Minimum six months prior experience working in a residential setting preferred.
- Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Skills: Strong oral communication skills, fundamental writing competency, ability to think calmly in emergency situations, computer literacy, and Spanish or other non-English language skills desirable.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift approximately 10 -15 pounds.
