Leadership Position in Retirement Benefits

We are seeking an exceptional Director, Retirement Benefits to join our team at Zenith American Solutions. This leadership position plays a critical role in directing operations of Retirement Benefits for assigned locations or funds, ensuring alignment with Company guidelines, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily leadership and direction to multiple Retirement Benefits teams, upholding Company values and mission.
- Develop management and supervisory staff through performance management, goal setting, training, and effective employee relations.
- Oversee the assignment, distribution, and monitoring of daily operations to meet client needs and expectations.
- Implement and monitor internal systems, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations in accordance with Plan guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Manage expenses for assigned teams to maintain operations within budget parameters and implement course corrections as needed.
- Partner with Client Services to address and resolve service issues or escalations with clients.
- Collaborate with other departments or teams to ensure efficient and accurate implementations or onboarding of new clients.
- Provide regular reporting on operational metrics.
- Attend Board of Trustee meetings to provide retirement benefits updates as needed.
- May participate in presentations for new business or clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 7 years of experience working in retirement benefits, or
- High school diploma and 10 years of experience working in retirement benefits, along with 5 years of experience in operations management.
- Thorough knowledge of defined benefit plans, defined contribution plans, 401(k) plans, and benefits administration systems.
- Strong understanding of ERISA compliance or regulatory procedures.
- Professional maturity with proven success nurturing internal and external relationships.
- Ability to recruit, lead, and motivate a successful management team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude for strategic thinking and experience executing process improvement measures.
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills, with the ability to optimize resource utilization and deliver on multiple priorities.
- Ability to effectively manage remote employees in diverse locations and regions.
- Willingness to travel as business dictates.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office tools and applications.
Experience working in a third-party administrator or Taft-Hartley environment is desirable.
