About the Role
Emory Healthcare is seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a vital member of our anesthesia department, you will play a key role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our academic health system.

About the Job
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in anesthesia care, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. You will be responsible for assisting anesthesiologists in administering general and regional anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and non-surgical procedures. Additionally, you will perform initial cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as needed and interpret and record patient physiological and pharmacological status.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting anesthesiologists in gathering pre-op data and managing pre- and post-anesthetic care
  • Establishing multi-parameter monitoring of patients prior to, during, and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations
  • Managing ventilators and other respiratory care parameters as directed by physicians
  • Instructing others in principles and practices of anesthesia, respiratory care, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as directed by anesthesiologists

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) program
  • Licensure to practice in the State of Georgia and certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA)
  • Biannual certification through submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)

About the Opportunity
This is a regular full-time position at Emory University Hospital in Johns Creek, GA. The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
