Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Medical Technologist to perform various laboratory tests and procedures, including chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions by conducting blood group, type, and compatibility tests. Additionally, they will ensure the operation of laboratory equipment by calibrating, completing preventive maintenance requirements, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Maintaining accurate records and reports of test results is crucial for this role, as is providing medical technology information to patients and healthcare professionals. A strong understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures is essential, as well as a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, candidates must have at least 1.5 years of experience as a Laboratory Medical Technologist, with ASCP certification preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
