Screener - Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Screener to join our team at Metropolitan Healthcare Services Inc. as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting phone screenings for individuals seeking medical assistance or emergency room services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the urgency and severity of callers' situations and gather relevant information to determine the appropriate level of care needed.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines to assess the level of care required and provide clear instructions to callers regarding next steps and recommended actions.
- Document all interactions and information accurately in the system.
- Previous experience working with phone systems, preferably in a healthcare or emergency room setting, is highly desirable but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with callers and convey information clearly.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent attention to detail to accurately gather and document information.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus.
