Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Infrastructure Specialist to improve infrastructure in our Michigan or Ohio offices. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in a related field. A valid driver's license is required, as well as experience with Katapult, IKE GPS, O-Calc, Spida-Calc, Pole Forman, or other similar programs.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Traveling to job sites for project execution, training, or quality purposes
  • Coordinating and designing joint use pole attachments and make ready recommendations
  • Designing and implementing joint use pole attachments and make ready solutions
  • Coordinating with the Engineering team to ensure accurate and complete work delivery
  • Determining the appropriate scope of pole installs, including NESC standards and utility pole owner regulations
  • Gathering information to identify pole owners and completing necessary application processes
  • Performing field inspections and site walks, as well as using pole collection software
  • Identifying existing pole conditions and creating 3-dimensional models to ensure safe attachment
  • Reviewing utility poles and field notes to determine the most accurate make ready solution
  • Performing structural loading calculations using O-Calc or SPIDAcalc
  • Reviewing proposed aerial projects and determining the overall cost analysis
  • Providing solutions for poles that fail pole loading or are not good candidates for new attachments
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.
