Position Overview:

This is a full-time, 10-month contracted role focused on providing dedicated medical support to a student within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized nursing care to meet the medical needs of a student.
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Valid nursing license as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Registered Nurse in the applicable state.
- Preferred: At least one year of professional nursing experience.
- Adherence to professional standards and practices.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing skill development as necessary.
- Completion of Amergis' Competency program.
- Current CPR certification.
- PPD or chest x-ray documentation as required.
- Valid health certificate in accordance with contract or state regulations.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Successful completion of new hire training relevant to the job site.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively share information with supervisors, colleagues, and clients; proficiency in English may be necessary.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
