Compensation and Benefits
Our pediatric ophthalmology position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a productivity-based incentive plan after year 2. You will receive a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Our hospital offers a generous medical and health benefits package through Empire BC/BS, along with extensive retirement and pension offerings. You will also receive malpractice and tail coverage.

Responsibilities and Facility Details
As a pediatric ophthalmology specialist, you will be busy within the first 6 months with the current volume of patients. Our clinic is booked out 3 to 4 months in advance, with a 95% clinical practice. You will work a 4x8 schedule, with 36 patient hours a week. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment, including OCT-Sirrus 5000, Fundus Camera, and Auto Refractor. You will also have the support of a great team, including scribes, techs, and exam rooms. You will be responsible for patient volume, with an average of 8-12 cases per day. You will also have the opportunity to participate in research and education.

Qualifications and Skills
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric ophthalmologist who is committed to providing excellent patient care. You must become board-certified in the specialty within 5 years of completing your residency or fellowship. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will also have a strong commitment to quality patient care and a willingness to participate in quality improvement initiatives.
