About the Position

The University of South Carolina's College of Information and Communications is seeking a full-time instructor to teach courses related to artificial intelligence in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in an information/communications-related field and experience in applying digital technologies, particularly AI, in mass communication contexts.

Responsibilities

The instructor will be responsible for teaching courses, leading workshops and trainings, and contributing to the development of the School's curriculum in AI topics. The individual should have a strong understanding of AI applications and be able to lead applied projects and/or research or creative scholarship in the AI arena.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in an information/communications-related field by the start date of employment. The ability to contribute to the School's curriculum development in AI topics is also required. Preferred qualifications include experience in teaching and curriculum development, as well as a strong understanding of AI applications in mass communication contexts.
