About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to lead our machine learning initiatives and drive business growth through data-driven insights.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and applying ML expertise to deliver customer solutions, strategizing modeling approaches, and communicating complex technical topics to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data science, including elements of machine learning, statistics, probability, and modeling, as well as experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and Matlab.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute feedback to AI product requirements definitions and serve as an advisor and team lead to other data scientists in developing and applying ML expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and partner with project teams in developing and applying ML expertise
  • Strategize modeling approaches and document and present experimental approaches and results
  • Be able to justify why a Data Science modeling approach was chosen over others
  • Independently and effectively engage with external technical stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and solve critical business problems
  • Design and deploy machine learning models for commercial and industrial applications
  • Lead all phases of the data science process from data exploration and processing to information synthesis

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in building machine learning models
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Ability to form strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of renewable energy, oil & gas, aerospace, manufacturing
  • Graduate or Doctorate degree (or 5-8 years of equivalent experience) in one of the fields above
