Home-Based Veterinarian

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team at Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare. Based in the Greater Central Valley Area, including Stockton, Modesto, and surrounding regions, this position offers a refreshing change from traditional in-clinic practice.
This role allows you to provide personalized care to pets and their families, promoting a deeper understanding of their needs and preferences. As an In-Home Veterinarian, you will have the opportunity to form meaningful connections with pet owners, helping them navigate the end-of-life journey for their beloved companions.
About the Role- This is a part-time opportunity with flexible scheduling options, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life.
- You will be responsible for providing in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets, guiding families in making informed decisions about their pet's care.
- Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team, collaborating with local veterinary clinics to ensure seamless care.
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to pets in their own homes, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Built strong relationships with pet owners, empathizing with their experiences and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, ensuring timely communication with colleagues and clients.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree.
- At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted.
Competitive annual salary: $110,000 - 130,000, commensurate with experience.
