Cytology Specialist

Job Summary:

Cytology Specialist: LabCorp is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cytology Specialist to join our team at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, MI.

As a Cytology Specialist, you will be responsible for screening and evaluating gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens to determine possible malignant or related abnormal conditions. You will also perform microscopic evaluations of cytological specimens, ensure proper documentation, and maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens
• Perform microscopic evaluations of cytological specimens
• Ensure proper documentation and accurate reporting of results
• Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university
• Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program
• ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is required
• Prior experience working in Cytology is preferred
