At Franciscan Care Center, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. As a key member of our team, the Director of Nursing will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of services in our nursing units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monitoring and improvement of nursing services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Maintain effective communication with the interdisciplinary team, residents, families, physicians, and staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform activities related to nursing care needs of residents as needed, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of our facility's performance improvement program to drive excellence in care.
  • In collaboration with the Administrator, operate the assigned nursing units in accordance with established policies and procedures of CHI Living Communities.
  • Provide oversight to the Staff Development Manager/Nurse to develop, plan, conduct, and schedule in-service training classes that ensure a well-educated nursing service department.

Requirements:

  • Ohio RN license required.
  • At least five years of clinical experience related to geriatric nursing.
  • Must have at least five years of management experience.
  • Currently certified in CPR.
  • Experience in long-term care facilities and with MDS/RAP Summaries and care planning, and a working knowledge of Total Quality Improvement process, preferred.
