Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care General Medicine and Observation Unit Professional to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, working under the direction of a registered nurse to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, and ambulation using assistive devices.
  • Collect and send specimens, including blood and blood cultures, and insert and remove peripheral IV catheters.
  • Record patient information and required data in appropriate areas to meet documentation requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide respectful, patient-centered care for a diverse patient population.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of previous direct care experience or successful completion of a CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
  • Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.
