Job Summary

Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join their team in Santa Maria, California. This travel position requires a CT Technologist with expertise in operating computed tomography scanners and ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.

About the Job

This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours of work per week, with 8-hour shifts and competitive pay. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Patient Preparation and Communication: Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process, verifying medical history and allergies before each scan.
  • Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, administering contrast agents as necessary under physician guidance.
  • Image Quality and Review: Review images for quality, working closely with radiologists to ensure diagnostic standards are met.

The ideal candidate should have experience in CT imaging, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Current certification as a CT Technologist
  • Experience with CT imaging protocols and radiation safety guidelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
