About the Job

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

This is a highly rewarding role that requires a Physical Therapist with experience in hospital-based and outpatient settings. You will work closely with patients to restore their function and prevent disability following illness, injury, or loss of body part.

You will help patients reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within their capabilities.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Consistently apply therapeutic principles and practices.
  • Formulate realistic and appropriate short and long-term goals.
  • Adapt conventional treatment techniques to meet patient needs.
  • Involves patient/family in program/treatment decisions and plans.
  • Terminate treatment appropriately and with discharge plans.
  • Show sensitivity to cultural backgrounds.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with department policy.
  • Regularly assess needs for and provides patient/family with educational materials and resources.
  • Actively participates in CQI/performance improvement initiatives; including inpatient FIM and outpatient LifeWare.
  • Actively participates in departmental student program.
  • Meets performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, resource utilization, and staff and self-development as outlined in performance review.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy

Experience: Previous experience in hospital-based or outpatient facility helpful

Licensure: By State of Connecticut Division of Medical Quality Assurance, BLS required
