About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician at Gates Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the installation and maintenance of our equipment, ensuring that it is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on current machines
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns
• Install new equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns
• Service and maintain equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, and other production-related equipment
• Fabricate parts for repair and machine upgrades
• Install new equipment
• Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree (mechatronics curriculum preferred) or equivalent experience required
• Experience troubleshooting and repair or installation of industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems required
• Ability to use programmable logic controller systems (primarily Allen Bradley) such as RSLogix
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints
• Experience with electrical and hydraulic test equipment
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work overtime
• Self-directed with the ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Must have regular, reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance
• Comply with all safety and environmental policies and procedures
