Overview: As an Operations Supervisor at Ward Trucking, LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our freight services. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling freight operations, creating and updating action steps on the service center tension chart, and attaining specific operational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with safety audits, company policies, and external regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to freight operations, including weights, inspections, and safety audits.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on safe working practices and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Cultivate a positive and respectful work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales teams and human resources departments.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these challenges.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a proven track record of effective supervision performance, previous management experience, and excellent communication and leadership skills. You should also be physically able to walk the dock and in trailers, be able to move freight with or without aid of freight handling equipment, and be able to lift and reach objects. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
