At Gateway Industrial Power, we're seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to lead our Carrier refrigeration, APU, and telematic sales efforts in the Chicago area.

We're a reputable and expanding dealership specializing in Carrier Refrigeration, Volvo, and TICO products with 13 locations in Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

As a Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the Chicago sales team in achieving set goals and targets. You'll allocate territories and set sales quotas for team members, consult with potential customers to understand their requirements, and recommend suitable products, equipment, or services.

You'll also consult with existing customers to provide additional products and services, develop annual, quarterly, and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profit, expenses, and operating profit in the region, and address customer complaints, staffing issues, and other operational challenges promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Chicago sales team in achieving set goals and targets.
  • Allocate territories and set sales quotas for team members.
  • Consult with potential customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable products, equipment, or services.
  • Consult with existing customers to provide additional products and services.
  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profit, expenses, and operating profit in the region.
  • Address customer complaints, staffing issues, and other operational challenges promptly.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership team to devise effective sales strategies and quotas aligned with dealership goals.
  • Oversee hiring and disciplinary actions in adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor and drive performance to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Promote and showcase new products effectively.
