Responsibilities:

Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Gains confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.

Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

Assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students.

Requirements:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Master's degree from an accredited speech pathology program or equivalent education/experience.

SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist and BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certifications.

Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.

Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.

Ability to work in a demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities, complete work duties within expected timelines, and meet requirements.

Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.

Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills, as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities.

Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills, and keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
