Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Kenosha, Wisconsin. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you'll be responsible for performing radiologic procedures, communicating with patients, and ensuring accurate exam results.
About the RoleThis per diem position requires 2 years of experience in a Radiologic Technologist role, with proficiency in radiology positioning and techniques, aseptic techniques, and C-arm. You'll also need to have advanced knowledge of radiation safety and radiology equipment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Perform basic to advanced radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, pain clinic, GI lab, urology, and c-arm procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
- Select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provide patient radiation protection and safety.
- Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician orders, and process images to ensure accuracy.
- Assist, communicate, and consult with radiologists, working independently outside the department with providers.
- Maintain records and documents billing codes, serving as a technical resource and role model for students and staff.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology
This position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
CompensationThe estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and location.
