Job Title: Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector

Job Description:

DEKA Research and Development is seeking a highly motivated and well-organized Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector to join our dynamic team in Manchester, NH. This role involves performing incoming inspection and engineering inspection activities, requiring a strong skillset with GD&T and Blueprint interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and inspect samples required for inspection to aid in the development of state-of-the-art medical devices.
  • Select appropriate measuring equipment and develop new inspection programs to provide engineering with accurate and efficient inspection data in a timely fashion.
  • Perform inspections of components and manufactured product according to drawing specifications and engineering investigations.
  • Generate and review Quality History Records and associated documentation for compliance to established procedures and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Participate in the development and/or revision of inspection methods and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an advanced inspection environment.
  • Proficient skillset with GD&T and Blueprint interpretation.
  • Experience with proper handling of Electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive components.
  • Printed circuit board assembly / solder quality inspection experience (IPC610 / 620) a plus.
  • Experience operating Vision Systems, CMM equipment, and CT Scanner.
  • Familiarity with ISO, ASQ, and ANSI sampling plans.
  • ISO 13485 / ISO 9001 knowledge a plus.
  • Possess strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and report updates to management and engineering.
  • Ability to set up inspections for very intricate components with tight tolerances.
  • Proficient measurement skills utilizing measuring equipment such as Micrometers, calipers, and optical comparator.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspection.
  • Familiarity with standard sampling plans.
  • Ability to translate specifications into inspection programs a plus.
