Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with our product engineering team and other cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative mobility products. The ideal candidate will bring strong planning and organizational skills, with experience managing projects and prioritizing tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for lift products, including concept development, technical drawing creation, prototype review, cost management, sourcing, and launch.
  • Evaluate and optimize product concepts for function, manufacturability, packaging, and material handling.
  • Review and approve finalized engineering product drawings, ensuring critical dimensions, performance specifications, GD&T, and quality specifications meet industry standards.
  • Generate product prototypes, conduct testing, and ensure new products meet specifications, timing objectives, and safety compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal resources to maintain engineering documentation, such as bills of material, procedures, and other types of engineering documentation.
  • Plan and develop test plans, coordinate with internal testing resources, and ensure the quality of testing and reporting.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college.
  • 1 year of experience in an industrial environment, preferably with internships or entry-level positions.
  • Design and development experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, including CAD experience with SolidWorks.
  • Understanding and experience in product design and development, including DFMEA/PFMEA, FEA, GD&T, Risk Analysis, and root cause investigations.
  • Strong planning/organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage projects, multi-task, and set priorities.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum
