Sprinkler Service Technician at Johnson Controls

We are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per yearJob Description:

This role requires diagnosing and repairing various sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, be able to read technical manuals and blueprints, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service with strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Nighttime travel may be required.
  • Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Must adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Familiarity with NICET Level I or II certification and Backflow certification is a plus.
